 Paul D and Sethe laying together to be intimate with another other. Paul D's thoughts were running through his mind as he was lying down next to her to seemed to mixed feeling. The feeling between being disgusted by her body as he watched her lay there,  but yet fondness of her, her mouth seemed to be something Paul D was really fond of.  The author went into more detail about who Halle was and his character. Their details about how the marriage came about between Hallie and Sethe. The author explained how Halle worked every Sunday afternoon to work off his mother's, Baby Suggs freedom. Halle was Baby Suggs's eighth and last child. 


     I can understand why Halle wanted his mother free, and I believe it is very noble of Halle to do. Giving one life as one had given him.  As for how Paul D looked at Sethe, I feel almost sadness in my heart. Although he shook things out of his mind, the fact that he could even find her ugly was disheartening.

      As I sat down and started to listen to the audio Beloved, I quickly got a bit confused at first there were many things that were thrown out all at once I had to re-listen to. What I was able to gather by listening for a little bit. There was a house that was for the better words haunted, it was a little blue house known as 124. Sethee has overcome slavery and please be prepared that this story is not an easy one to stomach for some. The mother was named Sethe and she had two sons, Denver, and baby.  The little girl who was referred to as the baby was killed when she was younger than two years old. The headstone of the little girl was labeled  Beloved. The reason why the headstone had only had the word baby on it was for the fact that Sethe did not have enough money to do Dearly Beloved later we will go into depth about why that was.
