         Beloved is about what Sethe endured as a black woman back when slavery was at the four front of what was occurring in the world. She took server physical and sexual abuse, with every lasting emotional pain that followed her for the rest of her life. Even when she ran and seemed to "get away" from slavery, the memories followed her to the point it ran her life, so much she tried to murder her children to have them not endure what she went the when the "Teacher" showed up at her home.     Beloved By: Toni Morrison  Summarized in my own words: Tabitha Whitmore   Chapter 1 pages 3-23:       Baby Suggs is the mother of Halle's mother. Halle is Sethe's Husband also the father of Sethe's four children. Halle is the son of Baby Suggs's son and he bought Baby Suggs out of slavery which cost Halle his Sundays. Sethe's sons Howard and Burglar fled the house that they lived in with their grandmother  Baby Sugg's, Denver, and their mother Sethe. After the house taunted them for the very last time.       As I sat down and started to listen to the audio Beloved, I quickly got a bit confused at first there were many things that were thrown out all at once I had to re-listen to. What I was able to gather by listening for a little bit. There was a house that was for the better words haunted, it was a little blue house known as 124. Sethee has overcome slavery and please be prepared that this story is not an easy one to stomach for some. The mother was named Sethe and she had two sons, Denver, and baby.  The little girl who was referred to as the baby was killed when she was younger than two years old. The headstone of the little girl was labeled  Beloved. The reason why the headstone had only had the word baby on it was for the fact that Sethe did not have enough money to do Dearly Beloved later we will go into depth about why that was.  I picked the book Beloved wrote by Tony Morison because I am interested in the story and how it come across. There seems to be real raw emotions and feeling within the story.  I am thrilled to continue listing to this audio so I can see what it may reveal as the story is being told.  ~Tabitha W.~
